We started this journey from Dhodani village, taking a jungle route that very few people use.No roads. No crowds. Just dense forest and silence. This hidden trail slowly connects to Matheran’s Sunset Point.The plan was simple — reach the point and watch the sunset from there. But nature had a different plan. We witnessed the sunset from inside the jungle itself.The sky started changing colors — deep orange, gold, soft pink — and the sun looked like it was sliding down behind Kalavantin Fort.That moment was unreal. Quiet. Powerful. Something you feel more than you see. And then suddenly… it was night. Darkness fell fast, and we had to continue trekking through the jungle in the night.Just headlamps, forest sounds, and trust in the trail. After trekking for some time, we finally reached the top.We set up our camp, collected wood, and cooked Maggi and pasta under the open sky.Simple food, but after a long trek — it tasted perfect. After dinner, we just lay there…Looking up at a sky full of stars.No city lights. No noise. Just us, the mountains, and the universe above. This wasn’t just a trek.It was an experience — from sunset to stars.
