Hello again. YouTube tell me that a lot of you folks are watching these reels on TV apps, which is great to hear - I always hoped that they'd be seen on the biggest screens possible (anyone else managing to throw them up on a projector, as I do?) Anyway, this one's slightly different from usual in that it celebrates a very brief event from the summer of 1982: the Star Wars / Empire Strikes Back double bill. Fox rereleased the initial pair so folks could rewatch them in anticipation of the following year's Return of the Jedi - indeed, they added a special teaser trailer just for this occasion. This one has extra special significance to me as it was my very first cinema visit (not at an Odeon, but perhaps more about that another time). An indelible experience which paved the way to these current obsessions, 43 years on. Intended to be used in two parts (an intro to Star Wars, then a later intermission between the two films), I've put it all together as one video - if you're keen to do it properly, you should pause at 01:42, watch Star Wars, then resume before watching Empire.
