"The Last of Us Part II" actor Ian Alexander tells me they'd love to reprise their role as Lev on HBO's "The Last of Us" series in the future. During the red carpet for Marvel's upcoming "Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur" animated series, I had the opportunity to speak with Ian Alexander. I've been back in the apocalypse world lately with "The Last of Us," and immediately recognized Alexander's Firefly dogtag necklace from the game/series. Alexander not only voiced, but acted out Lev in motion capture for 2020's "The Last of Us Part II." Now that HBO has renewed the series for a second season, it's likely we'll see Alexander's character in the future. Alexander has been watching the series and told me their thoughts on it so far (they like the changes from the game, noting it's "beautifully written"), told me their thoughts on Bill and Frank's critically-acclaimed episode three, and expressed their desire to play Lev again in live action. The Disney channel original animated series follows a 13-year-old genius, Lunella Lafayette, who fights crime on Manhattan's Lower East Side with her 10-foot-tall dino sidekick, Devil Dinosaur. Alexander voices one of Lunella's classmates, Tai. I've seen three episodes and really enjoy it so far. The animation style reminds me of "Into the Spider-Verse" and I'm surprised by the big guest stars here (Jennifer Hudson, Alison Brie, Method Man, and Wesley Snipes). If you're a parent, there's a must-watch episode w/ kids on learning to embrace and love your natural hair. The series premieres on Disney Channel on February 10. Six episodes will be avail to stream on Disney+ on February 15.
