Bostic took office in 2017 as the 15th president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He oversees the Reserve Bank’s work in conducting monetary policy, promoting financial system stability, supervising and regulating financial institutions, fostering payment and settlement system safety and security, and promoting consumer protection and community development. A PhD economist educated at Harvard and Stanford with a background in housing policy, Dr. Bostic brings a unique perspective to his role. Throughout his tenure, he has championed economic mobility and resilience and an economy that works for everyone. As a participant on the rate-setting Federal Open Market Committee, he brings his perspective on the Southeast economy to national monetary policy deliberations.
