Gurugram Cop Suspended For Stalking Woman After Tracking Her Via Car Number | India Today News

A Gurugram police officer has been suspended for allegedly stalking a woman and sending her inappropriate messages on Instagram. The constable, who was in a PCR van, reportedly abused his power by using the woman's car number plate to access her personal details and social media profile. The 50-year-old woman stated that on the night of 14th September, the officer followed her and later messaged her, admitting he had tracked her down because he "liked" her. Expressing her shock, the woman questioned, "How can a PCR van, whom the government has appointed for our safety and security, track my live movements, take out my personal details and message me like this?" An FIR has been lodged against the accused officer following the woman's complaint.
