Vintage Tin Upcycle | Easy IOD Transfer DIY for Cottage Decor

A quick creative session in the atelier today. This project started with a simple tea tin that I decided to upcycle into a beautiful cottage-style decorative piece using paint and an IOD transfer. I began by applying Pentart Bonding Primer to prepare the metal surface, followed by a soft matte mineral paint. Once dry, I layered florals from the IOD Transfer “By Any Other Name”, cutting apart the elements and arranging them to create a custom design. This is a wonderful project to try if you have leftover transfer pieces in your stash. You can mix florals, layer elements, and create something completely unique. The finished tin can be used in many ways: • decorative storage • kitchen shelf styling • craft supply holder • tea storage • handmade gift container It would also make a beautiful hostess or bridal shower gift filled with a tea towel, herbs, or small kitchen tools.
