【立法會通過《2023 年法律執業者 ( 修訂 ) 條例草案》 ✅】 今日（5月10日）立法會通過《2023 年法律執業者 ( 修訂 ) 條例草案》，以規範海外律師以專案認許方式來港參與涉及國家安全案件的訴訟。 我原則上支持修例，亦希望所有法律界人士都支持。但修例仍有漏洞，未能一刀切禁止海外律師參與國安法案件。我擔心新法例未有為「無掩雞籠」上鎖，境外勢力仍可「偷雞」，不斷「唱衰」香港，或利用機制去阻礙香港司法。 【The Legal Practitioners (Amendment) Bill 2023 was passed in LegCo✅】 On 10th of May, the Legal Practitioners (Amendment) Bill 2023 was passed in LegCo, to better handle matters concerning the participation of overseas lawyers who are not qualified to practise generally in Hong Kong in cases concerning national security. I principally agree with the amendment bill, and in so doing wishing the whole of legal industry would also support the amendment bill. Though not being able to enforce blanket ban on participation of all foreign lawyers in national security cases might remain a flaw to the amendment. I am also in the worry of foreign powers seizing the flaw aforementioned, to the effect of abusing and hindering the development of the Judiciary of Hong Kong.
