Producer Bill Justis wrote: "Having arranged and produced phonograph records for singers over the past twenty odd years, I can only say that some were dedicated, some were not. Some were colorful, some were not. Some were destined to stardom, some were not. Well, what I'm trying to say is that I honestly believe you will like Rich Price. His songs are good, different and always pleasing. His dedication jumps out and grabs you -- he is an original. Listen to this song and his album and you'll see what I mean." Rich Price wrote, "Bill Justis, thank you for producing this album and for some of the most beautiful string and vocal arrangements ever written. More than anything else, thank you for the unforgettable, countless inspirational and creative hours we spent together. Through this song and the other songs on my album, I would like to visit with you, the listener, and recall my days on high Sierra trails; loves that used to be; the loneliness that comes in winter while remembering a summer love; and the thrill of riding a streaking, streamlined train over shiny steel rails that cross this great land or silver wings at 30,000 feet. Instrumentally, many legendary musicians are sharing their expressions, feelings and sounds with you on the song on this slideshow, as well as my limited, private edition album." Regarding the song on this slideshow, Rich wrote the following: "She said, 'I've Always Had A Thing About Cowboys' was written on one of my many cross-country flights. I met a lovely stewardess who had come from Nebraska where she raised quarter horses on her parents' ranch. The legendary Pete Drake is playing dobro on the choruses and break." Over the years, Rich Price and the Sierrans have "visited" with many friends and fans in auditoriums, arenas, fairs, rodeos and nightclub audiences. As an entertainment package, The Rich Price Show is versatile with wide appeal to country and western audiences of all ages. Rich Price and the Sierrans have always presented a dynamic, musical journey, bringing audiences in close touch with the warm feelings of Rich's singer-songwriter's music, presenting a repertoire consisting of over 5,000 songs. Each show contains many legendary songs from the past as well as the present. When "visiting" with an audience, Rich shares his own songs, some of which are contained in his "limited, private edition" album, produced by Nashville's legendary producer, Bill Justis. The song on this slideshow was taken from that album and reveals the variety of styles Rich's original songs encompass -- the traditional sounds of Hank Snow and Marty Robbins; the "Texas Swing" of Bob Wills; and the contemporary sounds of country and western music. As mentioned above, the song on this slideshow is from the Rich Price limited edition, RPM production album titled, THE SINGING SIERRAN, which might still be available for purchase on RichPriceTheAmericanCowboy.com Adonda Records has commissioned Harrison Tyner and Tom Pick (8-time Grammy winner), to produce another album on Rich Price. This album is now being developed and when completed, this album will be available for purchase and/or download on CDbaby.com. The "Gallery" section of HTiMusic.com has more information on Rich Price.
