In this video, I'm going to ride the ETS from downtown Edmonton to Edmonton International Airport. From there, I will fly with Porter Airlines to Toronto, where I'll take UP Express and the Toronto subway to downtown Toronto, ending my trip at Yonge-Dundas Square. 0:00:00 Intro 0:00:10 Edmonton City Hall 0:02:45 Churchill Station 0:04:20 Capital Line LRT Ride (Century Park-bound) 0:26:40 Century Park Station Transfer 0:29:20 747 Century Park - Edmonton International Airport Southbound Bus Ride 0:47:45 Edmonton International Airport 1:00:40 Porter Airlines Flight: Edmonton to Toronto (Embraer 195-E2) 4:34:50 Toronto Pearson International Airport (Terminal 3) 4:43:05 Terminal Link Train Ride 4:45:15 Toronto Pearson International Airport (Terminal 1) 4:46:25 UP Express Southbound Train Ride 5:11:30 Union Station Transfer 5:17:30 Line 1 Yonge-University Northbound Subway Ride (Service Disruption) 5:19:25 King Station 5:21:50 Walk of shame to Dundas Station (Yonge Dundas Square) (Sped-Up) 5:23:50 Dundas Station (Yonge Dundas Square) FARE ERROR EXPLANATION: On my way to Churchill Station, I paid for an ETS route 747 ticket to Edmonton International Airport. The ETS local ticket cost $3.50 while the 747 ticket cost $5.00. Because the route operates outside of the city limits, I assumed the fare covered the local ticket and the 747 route. But when I scanned my ticket at one of the ticket machines, it said it was invalid. Another passenger who was with me was having the same problem. I went to security and explained my situation. Security told me that my ticket was good, and told me to keep my receipt with me in case of fare inspection. At the time, I was kind of skeptical. I didn't know if I did something wrong, or the machines were faulty, especially the fact that another passenger was having the same problem. It turns out my skepticism was warranted. All along I was supposed to pay a double fare. One for the LRT, and one for the 747 bus. The way the ETS fares are set up makes things quite confusing.
