Texas has around 4.5 million eligible Black voters, yet turnout remains well below the 70 percent threshold discussed in the segment. Black, Latino, Asian American, and Native communities comprise sixty percent of the state, but sixty percent of actual voters are white—one reason cited for Republicans controlling Texas for the last thirty years.
