American striptease dancers have headed east, in search of a quick ruble and hot Moscow nights. Within sight of the Kremlin, Moscow's most fashionable nightspot is not on Bill Clinton's schedule this week. But should the American president have a few hours to spare, he'll find a taste of home at Dolls - an American oasis with more than just American beer on offer. Candee Apples, one of America's most famous exotic dancers and former Best Chest in the West, has moved her undoubted assets East, from Milwaukee to Moscow, in search of fame and fortune. But with an entrance fee of 50 U-S dollars, only the core of Moscow's rich and powerful get to see Candee Apples perform. SOUNDBITE: "This club has a very elite clientele because of the upscale, high cover charge. The food is expensive. This is basically only for the elite. Twenty dollars isn't going to buy you a beer and a table dance where you get to shout and holler all night." SUPER CAPTION: Candee Apples - Exotic dancer Americans get into Dolls free of charge, but the biggest tippers in this joint are not Yankee expatriates. Moscow's super rich think nothing of paying the girls 500 dollars to dance at their tables. A country which missed out on the sexual revolution of the 1960s is doing its best to catch up fast, and they're looking for the American girls to show them the way. SOUNDBITE: "And another advantage of having American girls come here, is that they teach the local girls, Russian girls, how to dance." SUPER CAPTION: Michael - Manager of Dolls The Russian dancers at Dolls are young and beautiful - but short on knowledge of the Western way of disrobing. That's what separates this up market club from all the other strip joints in town. A new way of dancing as well as a high salary has proved an irresistible draw for many Russian girls, eager to learn from their American counterparts. SOUNDBITE: "They have a style we just didn't see before. It's so different from what we learned before and from what we know."
