Hemp drying and separation - featuring HKS batch floor driers

In this video, hemp is dried and processed immediately after drying on practical and powerful hemp separator. Branches are stripped of leaves, seeds and inforescence, which is collected into one stream, while branches go on the other side. This is done on the hemp tops, top parts of the hemp plant containing seeds, leaves and inflorescence which are grown in dense arrangements, also called closed canopy. Dryers are filled with a help of telehandler with forks and manual labor to a height of about 2 m, making about 60 m3 of material in one batch. The drying lasted for 36 hours with an average heating power consumption of 60 - 70 kW. Fuel consumption per batch was about 250 L of fuel oil, equivalent to 320 m3 of gas. To empty and process the material straight from the dryer, it took about 2 hours, although hemp separator has much more capacity.
