Our merch store is now LIVE: https://bit.ly/Carwow-Merchandise It’s time for an off-road head-to-head between Land Rover and Toyota! We’ve got our hands on the Arctic Trucks Toyota Land Cruiser AT37, and it’s going up against the Arctic Trucks Land Rover Defender 110 AT35. The two are going head-to-head over a series of challenges on an off-road course to see which of the two is the best off-road! But how will they compare? Let’s take a closer look at the stats. The AT37 is based on the Toyota Land Cruiser 250, so it comes with a 2.8-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine that produces 205hp and 500Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 8-speed auto, and it weighs 2,500kg. It comes with several modifications, including 37” all-terrain tyres, optimised and elevated Arctic Trucks R53 2-way adjustable performance suspension, and finally, extensive work to the frame, body, bodywork and more. All in, the car the and the upgrades cost £113,839. Then when it comes to the AT35 Land Rover Defender 110. It’s based on the current Land Rover Defender 110 and is powered by a 3.0-litre-6-cylinder diesel engine that produces 300hp and 650nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed auto, and it weighs 2,541kg. It comes with several modifications, including forged 20x10” ET-25 Arctic Trucks dual-valve alloy wheels dressed in 35” all-terrain tyres, upgraded adjustable performance suspension and widened Arctic Trucks fender flares. All in the car and the upgrades cost £100,484. Both vehicles also come with low range mode but the question is, which one will take the win? Could it be the more powerful Land Rover? Or will it be the less powerful but lighter Toyota Land Cruiser? You’ll have to stick with Mat, Sam and Graham to find out!
