As someone who grew up inside Mormonism and later MAGA culture, I know how these narratives are built. I know how movements create “us vs. them.” And I know what it feels like to wake up and realize the enemy you were taught to fear was never the real danger. This isn’t about hating Christians. It’s about understanding how power works. How the Religious Right pivoted from one moral panic to another. And why kindness, authenticity, and joy can feel threatening to movements built on control.
