Lucy the Goldendoodle is kicking off her fourth and final week of our Board and Train program at Best Paw Forward Dog Training! 🎉🐶 In today’s training session, we focused on Place with guests, an important real-world skill that helps Lucy stay calm, structured, and polite when people come into the home. Working Place around guest distractions teaches dogs: ✔️ How to settle and relax instead of rushing or jumping ✔️ Impulse control during exciting situations ✔️ Clear expectations when visitors arrive ✔️ Confidence and calm behavior in real-life environments As Lucy wraps up her Board and Train program, we are proofing her skills with higher-level distractions to make sure her training transfers smoothly to home life.
