It's ALWAYS something here - I swear!!! If you know the area, I was near the Melcom's in Cape. So, to go to the Abura market from there taking a shared car is 4 to 5 cedis. When I get out to pay my fare, I handed the driver 20 cedis not thinking anything of it. He gives me back 10 cedis and I'm like wait, where's the rest of my money? We argue about the fare being 4 to 5 cedis per person, and he says because we were two. I'm like two? It's just me! His argument is because he saw me talking to another person who also got in the car, and that person exited at Pedu, I was to pay for that person too. I told him that I didn't agree to pay for another passenger, and why does me talking to the guy make him (the driver) think that I would? He says that the person is gone now, and what is he supposed to do? I explained to him that as the driver, it is his job to collect the fares from EACH rider. In the end, he kept my money. Even if I paid that person's fare, it's 3 cedis from Melcom to Pedu, so even then he owed me another 2 cedis. Either way, I shouldn't be forced to pay for someone else's fare. There is this "obruni" thing that follows me everywhere I go. As an "obruni" I am to pay for other people's food, drinks, WHATEVER just because they think I'm rich. NO! This needs to stop. So who do I go and talk to get assistance? We get #robbed "small small" on a regular basis and it's unfair! That "small small" money adds up ooo. So just because you see me talking to someone, I'm their caretaker and to pay their expenses? No, I'm posting this one and sending it to friends. This is not ok. This obruni shit is for the birds.
