This time the race-track was reserved for only one team, and as you have seen from the title, it's the brand new Genesis GMR-001, which will make its debut in WEC this year competing in the Hypercar class The GMR-001 has been built under the LMDh regulations, based on the Oreca LMP2 chassis. It's powered by a 3.2 L V8 twin turbocharged engine, which consists in two of the 4-cylinders Hyundai i20 N Rally1 engines combined, with a further hybrid system as almost every other WEC Hypercar (excluding Aston Martin) Genesis will have two cars competing in the World Endurance Championship this year, with the #17 driven by Pipo Derani, Mathys Jaubert and André Lotterer, while the #19 will see Paul-Loup Chatin, Mathieu Jaminet and Daniel Juncadella behind the wheel of the GMR-001 Enjoy this 10 minutes compilations of the latest WEC Hypercar being tested in Imola!!!
