Legs disappearing into water. A man in a dressing gown comes to stand on his balcony. View of countryside. A tourist train passes by, people on the train wave. Above the train, cable cars pass. Camera pans up to cable car moving on a wire as it passes other cars. A train high up on rails travels along, another one passes it, the trains are travelling over a swimming pool, someone dives into the pool. A boy in swimming trunks climbs up the steps out of the pool. A girl in a red swimming costume with a white pleated skirt dives in, watched by a girl in a blue bikini. Boys splash in the water. A couple play with a ball. A woman goes down the slide into the water, then the film rewinds so she goes back up the slide. A girl in the pool wipes water from her face. The film runs backward, a man in striped trunks comes out of the pool. A pair of legs is visible in the water . A girl in the pool wearing armbands. Two girls with a beach ball. A girl swims across the pool. A toy boat sails on the water, a boy pushes it along. Children play in the water. People stand around the swimming pool, some dressed and some in swimming costumes. A colourful pleasure boat, a paddle steamer, comes around the corner of a stretch of water. On the side is painted the words "Butlins Queen of the Lake". People on the boat are smiling and waving at the camera. Games for It's A Knockout, a team of men are passing buckets filled with water over their heads. One man crawls through the others' legs. He stands up and holds up his arms. They are wearing It's a Knockout T shirts. The scoreboard reads "It's a Knockout at Butlins. Grosvenor…Kent". Two Redcoats stand by the board, a man and a woman. More shots of the bucket game, with a crowd watching and cheering. A man and woman are in the large lounge bar at Butlins, the woman is sitting on a seat while the man goes to the bar to order drinks. The room is busy. The woman sits looking out of the window with an empty wine glass beside her. The man leans on the bar beside a Worthington E beer pump. The barmaid hands him a half pint of beer in a tankard glass and a drink with a straw and a lot of fruit slices on top of it. He brings the drinks over to his companion and watches closely as she sips her drink through the straw. In the nursery or crèche, children play on a mini merry go round. Two women in nurses uniforms and caps, one with a very short dress, sit at tables playing with children. Two young girls play with pink plastic tea cups. A nursery nurse holds and kisses a toddler. A row of toddlers, some with dummies, sleep strapped into seats on frames, some of them are awake. One little boy plays with his feet. A Redcoat walks with a young girl in the gardens, a small train goes past. Close up of a pink rose. A boy in a straw hat rows a small boat. Other people row in pairs on the boating lake and wave at each other. One boat approaches another and the couple deliberately fall into the water. There are flags around the pool. A Redcoat leads three women in swimming costumes to beside the pool, another Redcoat walks behind them. People clap. This is a beauty contest, the women wear sashes. One of the women holds up a camera to take a photograph. Two girls smile for the camera. A man with three children sits at a table in the canteen, eating. There is a teapot on the table. A girl on a pony looks back at the camera. A man wears a rosette, people are gathered for donkey races. Children ride donkeys, one girl wears a riding hat. A Redcoat signals the start of the race.
