This level is truly one of a kind, and for a good reason, too. It's pretty creepy... ONLY in this level and ONLY in this game, you will encounter a highly-dangerous brand of Kremlings called Rock Krocs. These Krocs are completely invincible. So invincible that even trying to stomp on them will only hurt YOU! They are also very fast, and can even come in groups! Some will even cover entire platforms! You deal with these guys all to the morbid sounds of Misty Menace. The ONLY thing that can deal with these monsters is to use the titular Stop & Go Barrels, themselves. They start out as the green-lit Go Barrels. Touch theme, and they turn into the red-lit Stop Barrels, which causes the Rock Krocs to literally stop in their tracks, but only for a limited time. It could be 3 seconds, or it could be less than one second. ---------- OR... you could just, as soon as you start the stage, turn right around to the left and hit a Warp Barrel, which will take you about 95% through the stage. Pretty good for speedrunning or if you're just terrified of these Kremlings, but you will definitely skip some Bonus Barrels from this. I show off what this warp looks like after I complete the level properly. There are two Bonus Rooms in this level: One is guarded by a Rock Kroc and must be Stopped, first. This room has you use Barrel Cannons to nab a square formation of bananas, as well as a Banana Bunches in the middle. The second room is found through a Bonus Barrel that is right offscreen. It can only be reached by rolling a tire over to it and bouncing on it after clearing the spot for three Klaptraps. This room has you shoot up through columns of bananas, and the top of one of these has a Winky Token. This last Winky Token lets me go through his own Bonus Room, which takes advantage of his high-hopping powers. ---------- Remember, Rock Krocs are very creepy. They are unkillable, but fortunately after this game, they are never ever seen again. Sweet dreams... At least Candy Kong will be there afterwards to calm and soothe your soul.
