The 2018 Boao Forum for Asia is being held in Hainan Province, from April 8 to 11. One of the items on the agenda is the Media Leaders Summit for Asia. Given that Asia represents 60 percent of the world's population and contributes to about one third of global GDP, with the entire region set to keep growing economically, how can Asian media organizations better cooperate with one another so that their voices are duly represented? Joining the discussion were Jaime FlorCruz, CNN's former Beijing bureau chief and currently a professor at Peking University; Zhang Yi, current affairs commentator and former Xinhuanet editor and journalist; and Harvey Dzodin, research fellow from the Center for China and Globalization, and former vice president of the ABC TV Network.
