London Underground 1938 Stock Rail-tour (Piccadilly Line - Uxbridge Branch)

The 2nd rail-tour of the weekend, the heritage run of the London Underground 1938 Stock, which is in preservation by the London Transport Museum at Acton Depot in West London. TfL usually run it about 2-3 times a year, the last being in September 2022, which was the first tour since lockdown. This one was the 13:46 tour, running Westbound on the Piccadilly Line's Uxbridge branch and then Eastbound back to Acton Town. The 1938 Stock is unfortunately very restricted as to where on the network it can travel due to incompatibility with the modern signalling, which only AFAIK the Piccadilly and Bakerloo Lines retain. However, a proper high speed run through the North-western suburbs, brilliant atmosphere overall, as if this was a genuine journey back in time. It is also my very first time on the 1938 Stock and all I can say is, money well spent and a nice way to relax after a hard working week.
