Battery Replacement On A Vintage Camrex Photo Slide Viewer

As I was throwing out some trash a while back I noticed an old slide viewer in the bottom of one of the boxes, so I pulled it out and put it aside. I'm glad I did. This old Camrex slide viewer belonged to my father, he purchased it new in the 1960's so he could look at the many slide pictures he took during our family vacation to Yellowstone Park. It was still in fairly good shape when I re-discovered it, a little dirty, and minor scuffs and scratches on the screen were the only problems I saw immediately. But, it didn't work when I tested it, the light wouldn't come on. I assumed it needed new batteries, and possibly a new light bulb too, so I set about trying to get it working once again That is where this video begins.
