I am doing series on Black Women Philosophers! This episode features Dr. Kris Sealey, another one of my beloved Spelman Sisters! We talk Philosophy, Writing, and being an international student and professor in the USA! *Dr. Kris Sealey was born and raised in twin island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. She earned her BS from Spelman College in Mathematics in 2001 and her MA and PHD fin Philosophy rom The University of Memphis in 2005 and 2007 *Dr. Sealey is author of Moments of Disruption: Levinas, Sartre, and the Question of Transcendence (SUNY Press, 2013) and Creolizing the Nation (Northwestern University Press, 2020). She is also co-editor of Creolizing Sartre and Creolizing Critical Theory: New Voices in Caribbean Philosophy – both published with Rowman and Littlefield Press. *She is currently professor of philosophy at Penn State university. Her research areas include Critical Philosophy of Race, Caribbean Philosophy, Decolonial Philosophy, and 20th Century Continental Philosophy.
