In this video I make a simple utility for working with Router and also the base on which the wood is placed to be Milling. This accessory will help me align wooden surfaces more easily and accurately. To create this tool, I used galvanized angle iron in dimensions 30x30x3 mm, and 2 hard wood cubes. The width of the wooden cubes is a few millimeters more than the width of the Router. To create the table, I used reclaimed materials: two 5x150 mm wooden beams and a wooden surface. In the video you will see that I had the thought of creating an adjustable border for the sled, I do not show the whole process of creating the border because in fact it did not help – it mainly interfered with the work, caused the sled to get stuck. About from the middle of the video to the end I also show the process of milling the wood in quick motion. This is the first time I have used a router sled to straighten such a large wooden surface, the main conclusion from this work is that it is best to work in circles from the outside in and with the right direction of the router knife, if working in the opposite direction or in straight lines, the edges of the wood breaks and splits. In this video: • How to make Pallet wood slab from rec... You can see the full work I've done on the wooden surface that I'm aligning and what it's used for. Tools and materials I used in this project: Drill press, router, Circular Saw, orbital sander, clamps, Goggles, Gloves, Sanding paper, Wood glue, Angle iron 30x30x3Thanks for watching!
