VENICE, CA — Friday, January 16, 2026 — A coordinated multi-agency cleanup operation was carried out Friday morning at multiple locations throughout Venice, as the City of Los Angeles continued efforts aimed at sanitation, public safety, and pedestrian accessibility in public spaces. The operation was led by the Department of Public Works in coordination with the Los Angeles Police Department, Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Environmental Compliance Inspectors (ECI), and a homeless coordinator from the office of Traci Park. City crews, hazardous-materials specialists, and law-enforcement officers worked across affected areas to remove debris and address encampment-related conditions. Staff from Councilwoman Park’s office assisted with inter-agency coordination, while outreach workers from the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority engaged individuals on scene, offering information about supportive housing options, mental-health services, and other available assistance. Officials reported no arrests or citations in connection with the operation.
