POV surfing: Durban dawnies

I've not posted in a few weeks, but I have been shooting whatever I could. We had a (long-awaited and anticipated) cyclone swell roll into Durban this week. Thankfully, the wind was playing nice when it arrived. I also saw a shark in the surf for the first time, which made for some excitement at least. It was a grey reef shark. Some of the footage looks like a stop-motion animation, because during a session, my camera decided it actually wanted to shoot at 24 frames per second. So, please excuse the stuttery video. Summer surf in Durban can be a little uneventful in between the cyclone swells, but at least the sunrises are still epic. Here's a collection of some of the waves I've caught over the past few weeks.
