I spent the last year testing cheap carbon water bottle cages. Of the 6 I tried, only 1 was even worth considering. But look on AliExpress and eBay, and there are 1000’s of listings for cheap carbon bottle cages. I’ve had success with some in the past, but over the last year I have been looking for a better one. In trying to find a lighter more durable carbon bottle cage to recommend, I’ve tried all sorts of different designs, including one of the lightest I have ever seen. It clearly took inspiration from a bottle holder designed by a Germany company called CarbonWorks, and it weighs only 6 grams! The majority of the cheap bottle cages were terrible, but one of them was definitely worth recommending.
