Galenstock - South East Grat **4K**

Climbing Galenstock (3586m) via the South East Spur with Clare. On this trip we had Clare taking on more of the leads and route finding - she did a good job! Our route was to walk up towards the Sidelenhütte and then into the bowl between the Galenstock and Gross Furkahorn. From there an easy glacier approach took us to the route. Descending we choose to make a loop back via the Rhône Glacier along the 'normal route' - this is a really long way that passes a series of abseils back towards the glacier you ascend on the way up. In hindsight we probably would have gone this way down! Summer 2017
