Surfing Santa Contest at FIRING Salt Creek (Surf, SUP, & Race)

Surfer's Healing and the Paskowitz family puts on the Surfing Santa contest every year at Salt Creek Point. Every event is so fun, but this one by far had the best surf I have seen for the event. Two different ground swells made for some great peaks of the point and some long liners into Middles. I got smoked in the Shortboard event, but pulled it together for the SUP Surf event and took the WIN! So stoked to win the Men's SUP Surfing Division. The final heat was very consistent and we all got a shot at it! I competed in my first race as well. Ran up the hill to get a board before the race started and never got a break before the start horn. I grinded it out, passed some people, caught the best race board wave I've ever had, and somehow finished on the podium in 3rd. Haha I am still tired! Such a fun event to be apart of. Big thanks to Damian Brawner who pushed to get SUP included in this event a few years back. YEWWWWW
