We're taking a Dart 351 Rubbed Core Block and performing some intricate machining work to modify the lifter bores for 937 wheel-guided lifters. Sent to us by a designer and builder, this unique block features a solid rail that we are upgrading to wheel-guided lifters. This process is no easy task—it requires precise CNC machining, cutting grooves into the lifter bore bushings to accommodate the larger lifter wheels. We have to meticulously sonic test the block throughout the process to ensure sufficient wall thickness so we can shift the lifters further away from the standard bank angle while maintaining durability and performance. • Why Wheel-Guided Lifters?
