I learned a lot planning this fight for hours and trying it myself. i wanted to use contagion: flesh rot as i did to cazador, to make raphael vulnerable to most type of damage if not all. but when i tried it to raphael, literally nothing happened. it wasnt even about he succeeds saving throw or not, just nothing. so i had to go back to good old amulet of branding. maybe you can cast flesh rot when you meet raphael in Sharess' Caress. i wouldnt elaborate further on contagion here but it should work if bg3 wiki is correct. im 90% sure of it. if you want to surprise raphael with elemental, attack in front of him so everyone else gets surprised(only yurgir has alert). i didnt have helmet of arcane acuity but i happened to have hat of fire acuity so i took extra time to plan pre-combat settings: oil of accuracy - potion of fly - scorching ray to stack arcane acuity - change helmet(yes the stack stays) - inquisitor's might(normally i'd cast divine favour first but id be using hold monster so) - dash - potion of speed - invis potion - go turn based. do not open your turn with hold monster (when u go invis and join the fight later) because raphael will have Inevitable Resolve passive and it removes hold monster on his turn. even when he got surprised. thats why i revealed myself using brand the weak. hold monster can work, but only when u have higher initiative than pretty much everyone else and u start ur turn immediately after going out of invis. its ok to go full divine smite to raphael and yurgir(not counting korrilla cuz shes weak af anyway). but you cant just go divine smite to cambions when they have Fleeting Protection passive. i did that at 5:32 and it almost got me killed, literally 1hp so i had to use noblestalk. if u gotta deal radiant damage, make it as little as possible at first. when Fleeting Protection passive is gone, u can smite. i didnt realize it so i didnt smite them when the passive wasnt there. wouldve been much quicker if i realized it.
