Support my deep analysis research: / greenalink https://ko-fi.com/greenalink My Youtube's 19th Anniversary video. The year 2026 marks 35 years of my favourite beat em up series and to celebrate I've decided to have a deep dive into the lesser known 8-bit entries which came out during the 1990s. The first 8-bit release was out in late 1992 and first impressions were very rough due to its choppy framerate running at 20fps, slow combo attack speed, no grab pummels, janky mega jump.... the list goes on and on. Looking at it now from a retro perspective, it's pretty much aimed towards diehard fans of the series who want to try and complete every official entry. The moveset analysis for this video didn't go for the traditional character A then character B like I previously did in TMNT: Shredder's Revenge mainly because the properties of their attacks were really identical that even Blaze's usually long throwing distance got nerfed significantly and Axel having the same jump stats as Blaze were the deciding factors. How did I know damage values? I had a look at memory viewer, found the enemy address values and took note how much did their HP stat got lowered by after getting hit by a certain move. The HP value of zero still counts as alive in the game so where it says HP value of 5 on the memory watch is technically 6 HP. Will I do more? Yes, I'd love to have a look at the other 3 8-bit entries in detail, especially SMS SoR1 and GG SoR2
