SAUSAGE BREAD | PERFECT FOR SNACKS (SAUSAGE - PPANG 소세지빵)

Korean -style sausage bread "also know as pizza bread" . You'll find it every korean bakery! But now you can make your own homemade sausage bread. This recipe required some steps, you need to spend enough time to kneading and proofing the dough. Enjoy this soft and delicious sausage ppang/sausage bread. Ingredients : • Warm water 90g • Instant yeast 8g • Sugar 19g • Egg 1 • Bread flour 175g • Soft flour 35g • powder milk 9g • Dough improver powder 2g (if you dont have you can skip that ) • Salt 4g • Unsalted butter 15g For toppings • Chopped onion 160g • Mayonnaise 120g • Mozzarella Cheese 70g • Parsley • Sausage 6 pieces ( or hot dog ) Steps : In a bowl, add warm water , instant yeast Stir and set aside for few minutes. add sugar stir until sugar dissolved. Add egg into a bow and give some mix. Place a sift over a large mixing bowl and put all the dry ingredients. Mix everything together with a spatula until it begins to clump into a dough. Knead the dough and add the butter . Continue kneading until the dough become smooth and elastic. Place the dough into a bowl cover with plastic wrap and rest for 1 hour until double in size.(1st round of proofing ) Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces or 70g each. Shape the dough into a ball. (cover and rest for 15 minutes.) Meanwhile, make the toppings . in a bowl add chopped onion , mayonnaise and mix together. After 15 minutes, place a Sausage on the edge of the rolled dough. Roll up the Sausage in the dough tightly. Pinch together both ends and seams. Roll the Sausage in the dough to help smooth the edge. Using scissors, cut the sausage into pieces, making sure not to cut the dough completely. Place the odd slices to the left, and the even slices to the right of the centre line. Cover with plastic wrap and rest for 30~35 minutes. ( 2nd round of proofing ) After 35 minutes , add onion , mayonnaise, mozzarella cheese and parsley on top.
