Pathology is an awesome specialty. As far as medical specialties go, the lifestyle of a pathologist is usually pretty good. In addition, you don't have to deal with difficult patients, you get to interact with your colleagues, and you get to spend all day solving puzzles. That being said, it wasn't for me. Choosing a specialty is one of the most important decisions you make during medical school and everyone has their own reasons for choosing the specialty that they do.
