I explain my approach to reliably sharpening hand edge tools to a razor sharp finish with the minimum of equipment. As per usual this video is not perfect, but I often just do them in one take with no editing (like this one), so this is me unpolished. I used the word "burr" once (the sliver of metal at the sharpening edge), but then called it "swarf" for some reason. "Burr" is the more standard term.
