These are the whistles which produce a beautiful rich tone which is close to the tone of the Baroque transverse flute (or to the Irish flute). Though we all know tinwhistle music is deeply rooted in Ireland, Scotland and England it is the universal appeal of the tinwhistle that is reflected most in my whistling. That meaning you will find me playing an enormous repertoire of all sorts of music on the tinwhistle. From 12th Century Hildegard von Bingen´s Kyrie eleison, through Burt Bacharach´s Raindrops are falling, to modern Pop music, New Age, soundtracks and a few tunes of my own, as well as Irish, Scottish and English folk tunes. `Every flute has a heart, a soul of its own.
