Using Oval 8 Splints to Facilitate Finger Extension in Hand with Spasticity after Stroke

Video by ‪@Stroke-rehab‬ demonstrating use of Oval 8 splints to straighten fingers in spastic hand so patient can work on pinch/release and grasp/release. These may work in hands with mild to moderate spasticity that are demonstrating some movement. These would not be recommended for patients with high spasticity or those with complete paralysis. This is an example for use during grasp and release exercises and not for continual wear. Check with your MD or therapist to see if these are appropriate for you.
