Danny McBride's latest work with HBO, the now three seasons running The Righteous Gemstones is incredible. I went into the show not knowing much outside of the basics, a televangelist family that is rich with power and more money than they know what to do with. What I eventually found was something much better than anyone could say or suggest about it. From its wonderful heartwarming story to absolutely hilarious characters like the scene stealing Baby Billy Freeman, there is tons to love here. This is another home run for the HBO network and quite possibly McBride's best work, even beating Eastbound and Down and Vice Principals.
