The song is trying to represent this, from the struggle and the fights of the beginning to the inevitable fall at the end. The decadent statue represents this principle. The once beautiful individual has been immobilized and slowly eroded. The butterfly resting on his hand symbolizes the fragile soul he can no longer care for.
