We have a 52" Samsung LCD TV that is totally dead with no standby light at the bottom. We will troubleshoot the Power Supply board# BN44-00200A to find the problem. So as we check the standby voltage on the power supply board/SMPS , we find out that there is no standby voltage on the plug going the the televisions mainboard. This is a SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) troubleshooting tutorial on how to trace back from the SMPS secondary side to the primary side to find that there is only a bad capacitor in the Primary side that is the Vcc capacitor for the Driver IC that is driving the SMPS main transformer.
