Today I’m showing you exactly what’s inside my backpack and what I actually carry when I go out to shoot. This isn’t some crazy over-the-top cinema build. This is my real, practical setup that I use almost every time I film. I’ve been rocking the Sony FX30 from the Cinema Line and honestly, it does everything I need. 4K 60, 4K 120 — it just handles it. On most days I keep the Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 on it because it’s versatile and super reliable. For cinematic shots and night work, I switch to the Sirui Nightwalker 35mm (T1.2). It’s fully manual, which I actually prefer. If you shoot manual, you already know why. Power-wise, I use K&F batteries plus a K&F V-mount when I need longer sessions. I also use a K&F variable ND filter for bright outdoor shoots — makes life way easier. Audio is handled by the Hollyland Mark 2. Small, simple, and it just works. I also rig it up with a SmallRig top handle and a phone mount (Brandon Li edition) because I use my phone as a monitor when shooting Sony — the app works great and keeps everything lightweight. Most of the time I keep it handheld because I like staying flexible, but I also have a tripod and gimbal when needed. At the end, I show how I rig everything together and how the final build looks — including how I switch it to vertical if I need to shoot that way. This is the setup that works for me right now.
