Before any version of Lapti Nek was recorded, an English equivalent to the song was recorded, apparently for rehearsals that could not wait for the Huttese to be devised. Although I know of no release in which the original track is available, although a "Lapti Nek Overture" record apparently utilizing English lyrics was released. Let me know if you can let me listen to this; I have found no source for it thus far. The song is heard in three venues complimentary to Return of the Jedi, however: the fictionalized documentary mini-movie "Return of the Ewok", the behind-the-scenes special "From Star Wars to Jedi", and in the Return of the Jedi Radio Drama. The latter uses a de-vocalized version of the track, but is also the clearest of the three and points out some slight differences in the instrumentation of "Fancy Man" and "Lapti Nek".
