The owner buys 10W40 oil for this engine. Capacity is 2 or 2.2 litres, just top up the oil to the proper level. How to check the oil level due to the manual: 1. Stop the engine and let it cool down for at least ten minutes. This will allow oil to flow back to the oil pan and to cool down. 2. Start the engine and let it idle for one minute, in order to ensure the filling up of the oil tank. 3. Stop the engine and keep the vehicle in vertical position with both wheels resting on the ground. 4. Remove the dipstick, wipe it off, put it back in without screwing it in, then take it out and check the oil level. The amount of oil between MIN and MAX is about 300 cm3. The level should reach (but not exceed) the MAX level. Torques: Drain plug on the frame: 27 Nm Drain plug on the engine: 30 Nm due to the engine manufacturer manual (M18x1,5 bolt). For newer models that have a M24x2 bolt, the torque is 40 Nm. Oil filter cover: 10 Nm
