Let's stick with Columbia Records and their silly Novelty releases....sure, Canadian Sunset by the Weekends is a nice tune but it was a novelty in that the record company had to know it wouldn't sell any copies...this Inconceivables tune is not dissimilar....in the case of this record it was written and produced by Marty Cooper (however this Marty Cooper is not the same guy as from Tico and the Triumphs, according to http://www.spectropop.com/MartyCooper...) and arranged by the legendary Al Casey. I suspect Al Casey may be performing on this disc with some studio musicians (the wrecking crew? could be a few of them....) but other than that, I have no idea who is on this record.... i only know that i can't get enough of it. I first discovered it on the California USA album on Columbia, which is a double lp set that badly needs to be reissued on cd with as many stereo tracks as possible...perhaps a project for Sundazed to tackle....until then, you can hear great tunes like this one live every night at www.topshelfoldies.com!
