Translate a Document Instantly with Lexmark Translation Assistant

One of the coolest things about my work here at Healthcare IT Today is when I see something that almost feels magical.  In most cases, that's when multiple technologies are brought together in a way that the solution is just incredible.  This is how I felt when I saw the new Translation Assistant product from Lexmark. Watch the full demo video with Seth Johnson, Industry Director for Healthcare at Lexmark, below to see the solution in action.  However, the solution is really quite simple.  You can scan in any document to the Lexmark scanner and it will print out (or email) a translated version of the document nearly instantly.  That's a great solution that can make almost any document more accessible to patients in a wide variety of languages. Along with Translation Assistant, Johnson also showed us the Lexmark Downtime Assistant which allows organizations to print off important documents even during a downtime situation.  I've seen it over and over in healthcare where we get used to printing something from the cloud that staff are stuck in a lurch when downtime occurs.  Downtime Assistant is a solution to this problem.
