Black Hole Sun - Soundgarden Pack - Telephantasm Release date - September 28, 2010 ----------------------------------------------------- Here's the one that all the real ones have been waiting for - not just because it's an excellent song, but because it's an insane extended sustain song. The whole damn song is extended sustains, all the verses and all the choruses. This was a fun one to record because I just kept finding extra squeezes that CHOpt simply couldn't account for due to all the extra SP gained from doing the glitch on SP phrases. For example, I gained more than an entire beat's-worth of SP on the first activation. CHOpt had me activate on the O sustain of the RYO extended sustain, a full beat and a half after the Y that I actually activated one, and still end on the same GYB sustain on the back end. It's insane. This FC actually took me a considerable amount of time to get, and it's not just because I was busting my ass to get all those extended sustains done well. The solo is legitimately quite challenging. Lots of weird forced strum sections. I had to take it in to practice mode for a while and build the muscle memory on how to hit certain parts of it. I think this was actually my first run past the solo with an FC and not having some sort or SP or ext sustain messup prior. I was slightly nervous and my fingers weren't cooperating, so I fucked up a couple ext sustains in the last chorus, but I don't particularly care, this is a good ass score.
