https://www.sakurawatches.com/seiko-p... • Closing thoughts: o On wrist – Very wearable and clearly quality, feels elevated over your typical SPB-range and closer to an SJE-model in terms of refinement and attention to detail o Model variants – Also available in a cream dial w/black bezel option, as well as a dark brown dial w/copper bezel combination o Comparable models – Well spec’d competitor to Tag Huer’s popular Aquaracer Professional 300 Date at $4,200, which will get you a Chronometer grade movement with an 80hr power reserve but it’s not in-house and essentially a high-grade Sellita exclusive manufacture movement and while I do think its one of their best Aquaracer(s) ever, the overall theme doesn’t quite come together as well aesthetically as it does on this Seiko in my very subjective option, also at the price point, I’d rather go Tudor or Marinemaster o Bottom-line – Interesting mix of elements that come together to present a polarizing package, definitely reminds me more of early 2010’s Seiko, with its funkier design aesthetic and somewhat larger wearing profile. While not looking like a Seiko “Monster” it still reminds me of one, thanks to how it makes me feel. Maybe I should start calling it the "Coast Monster," I don’t know, what do you all think?
