Daytona M Star GTX Boots Review http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/da... The Daytona M Star Boots are a full-featured touring boot that gives shorter riders a 6cm height advantage. The M Star, like all Daytona boots, feature premium components, such as hydrophobic full-grain cowhide, Gore-Tex waterproofing, and plenty of adjustability for the highest level of comfort. Daytona uses a full grain cowhide that is tanned to be water resistant while maintaining breathability, strength and durability. Daytona believes Gore produces the best breathable, waterproof membranes on the market and so they use Gore-Tex exclusively in all their waterproof models. The M Star feature a cork insole that provides 2.5cm at the heel and 8mm at the toe for more secure footing. The outer sole is also increased in height and can be fitted with a flat sole insert if the extra height is not needed. For ease of entry, the M Star feature a a dual-zip entry, one longer curved zipper and one short straight zipper. The longer curved zipper resists opening better than a straight zipper in the event of a crash, but goes all the way down to the bottom of the boot for easy entry. The short zipper allows for easy operation of the longer zipper by relieving pressure on the boot opening. At the rear of the boot, a Velcro adjustment panel allows for larger calf circumferences. Internal reinforcements in PU are at the toe, ankle and shin and the rubber sole provides excellent grip. The Daytona M Star GTX boots are available in sizes 40-43. For smaller boots, check out the Daytona Lady Star that has an identical feature set.
