The traumatic response is often seen when prompted by triggers. A siren may trigger trauma which could trigger the memory of an emergency system alarm which, in turn, triggers panic. I woman who panicked every time it snowed. A woman who panicked every time he was encountered by a bird. Man who panicked every time he encountered a frog. Aspies tend to be triggered by crowds or individuals, or even thoughts of the past that express themselves in outbursts called meltdowns. 1. Create an awareness of the original cause of trauma 2. Reverse engineer the cause. 3. Reverse engineer the trauma response Neutralize it through reason Is my reaction a reasonable response 4. Rationalize Rather than rationalize the exaggerated response; rationalize an appropriate response repeating an event that is over Not everyone is a bully. Not everyone rejects me 5.
