Solara took a breath… but the calm felt wrong. Too sudden. Too quiet. And then we noticed what should have been obvious. Voidreaver — their mothership, the heart of their entire dark armada known as the Umbral Fleet — vanished first. Not destroyed. Not damaged. Just gone. And with it disappeared their Umbral Shards — small, fast shadow‑craft that always strike in packs. The entire fleet dissolved into darkness, without a trace, without a signal, without a single flicker. Aridion celebrated victory… but I felt it wasn’t victory. It was the silence that comes before something. Something hiding in Solara’s darkness… still watching us. In the silence you call victory, we are already inside your light. Your breath is borrowed. Your hope is temporary. We are the shadow you forgot to fear. From the edge of Solara’s dying glow, we watched your triumph crumble slow. You thought the battlefield was won, but war begins when you think it’s done. Voidreaver sleeps beneath the veil, its hull a tomb, its heart a wail. Umbral Shards drift in the black, waiting for the signal to attack. You celebrate the fading night, but darkness learns from every fight. We vanish only to return— and watch your fragile cities burn. We are the Umbral Fleet. We rise where your light retreats. You cannot kill what does not die. You cannot see what passes by. We are the silence after screams. We are the fracture in your dreams. When Voidreaver opens its eyes… Solara falls. Solara dies. Your heroes chant their hollow songs, but every note you sing is wrong. You never saw the hidden trace, the shadow carved across your space. We drift like embers in the void, your scanners blind, your shields destroyed. The Shards return in swarms of three, a storm you’re never meant to see. You pray the darkness won’t awake, but every fear is ours to take. Your hope is thin, your courage weak— we strike the moment mortals speak. We are the Umbral Fleet. We rise where your light retreats. You cannot kill what does not die. You cannot see what passes by. We are the silence after screams. We are the fracture in your dreams. When Voidreaver opens its eyes… Solara falls. Solara dies. Hear the engines hum beneath the dark. Hear the void ignite its spark. Hear the Shards align in flight. Hear the death of every light. We are the breath you cannot breathe. We are the truth you can’t believe. We are the shadow in your core. We are the war behind the war. Voidreaver rises. Voidreaver calls. Voidreaver watches as your kingdom falls. Umbral Shards gather. Umbral Shards scream. We are the ending of your final dream. We are the Umbral Fleet. We rise where your light retreats. You cannot kill what does not die. You cannot see what passes by. We are the silence after screams. We are the fracture in your dreams. When Voidreaver opens its eyes… Solara falls. Solara dies. And in the ashes of your sun, the shadow reigns. The war is won. If you thought this was the end… you weren’t listening closely enough. The Voidreaver has only shifted. The Umbral Fleet has only breathed. And the light you cling to… has only begun to fade. Your voice fell silent when the last note died, but ours did not. We are still here. Waiting. Watching. Chapter Four begins the moment you open your eyes.
